Our Story
Six West Aviation’s journey began in 2010 with the founding of Aquilo Aviation Strategies, an Irish-based aviation services company specialising in crewing and flight operations assistance for operators worldwide. Over the next five years, the company built a strong reputation for its expertise in flight operations.
In 2015, Aquilo Aviation Strategies was restructured and rebranded as Six West Aviation, with a new focus on developing services tailored to the aircraft leasing industry. This transition marked the beginning of the company’s shift towards becoming a leading provider of flight operations solutions.
By 2017, Six West officially entered the aircraft leasing sector under the name Elite Aero Ireland, trading as Six West. Backed by US-based investors, the company established itself as a specialist in Flight Operations Solutions, further strengthening its industry presence.
The following years saw rapid expansion. In 2018, Six West Hong Kong was launched to serve the business jet industry in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2019, the company expanded into Europe with the establishment of Six West Malta, exploring partnership opportunities with European airlines.
In 2020, a major transformation took place. The parent company, Elite Aero Ireland, was restructured to become a wholly owned Irish company. This strategic move allowed Six West to fully dedicate itself to the aircraft leasing industry, streamlining operations and offloading subsidiary companies to enhance its core services.
From 2021 onwards, Six West Aviation has experienced exceptional year-on-year growth, delivering outstanding results for customers worldwide. This organic expansion has positioned the company as the largest provider of flight operations services to the aircraft leasing sector, solidifying its reputation as an industry leader committed to operational excellence and innovation.
