At Six West, we believe in taking bold steps to effect meaningful change. By supporting Jason’s run, we’re championing the cause of mental well-being among young people and fostering a culture of resilience and support.
This event is support of two fantastic mental health charities. In Australia, Gotcha4Life, and in Ireland, A Lust for Life. Learn more about the organisations below, and find donation links if you would like to kindly contribute.
Gotcha4Life is an Australian not-for-profit foundation dedicated to building a mentally fit future. Founded in 2017 by media personality Gus Worland, the charity focuses on delivering preventative mental fitness programs, workshops, and resources across schools, workplaces, sports clubs, and communities nationwide. Their mission is to inspire and enable individuals to take proactive steps in strengthening their mental resilience, fostering social connections, and encouraging help-seeking behaviors.
A Lust for Life is an award-winning Irish youth mental health charity dedicated to early prevention and education. Their mission is to empower young people with the tools and skills needed to enhance and protect their mental health from an early age. Through innovative, teacher-led programmes in primary schools, they aim to build resilience, increase well-being, and enhance emotional literacy among children. A Lust for Life envisions a world where every child and young person can thrive mentally, emotionally, and socially.
Six West Aviation founder and record-breaking ultra-endurance athlete Jason Williamson is set to push the limits of human endurance as he announces an extraordinary attempt to run 4,000 km across Australia. Over the course of 50 days, Jason will run from Perth in Western Australia to Port Macquarie in New South Wales, covering an average of two marathons per day, battling extreme conditions and testing the boundaries of physical and mental resilience all in celebration of his 50th birthday this year.
