From last flights to final destinations, Six West handles every detail of repositioning aircraft at the end of their lease or operational life. We arrange ferry permits, flight crew, and logistics to deliver the aircraft where it needs to go—be it a maintenance base, storage facility, or transition site.
Aircraft retirement involves more than just a flight. We manage airworthiness checks, branding removal, and aircraft preparation to ensure every repositioning meets the lessor’s technical and contractual requirements, including all documentation for deregistration or lease termination.
While Six West does not operate storage facilities, we regularly ferry aircraft to secure global storage locations. Working in alignment with the lessor, we help coordinate preservation requirements and ensure the receiving site is prepared to receive and manage the aircraft.
Six West supports aircraft decommissioning logistics by ferrying aircraft to dismantling locations. We do not handle disassembly ourselves but work with certified recycling partners and ensure that all regulatory and flight-related documentation is complete and compliant prior to handover.
We liaise with aviation authorities to handle deregistration, overflight permits, and other documentation required for the aircraft’s final flight. Our focus is on simplifying end-of-service complexity—delivering aircraft on time, with full traceability and conformance to ICAO, FAA, and EASA protocols.
Aircraft nearing the end of their operational life require expert handling to ensure a smooth transition into storage, resale, or decommissioning. As aircraft reach the end of their operational cycle, our role is to ensure the ferry flight is the least complicated part of the process. We don’t handle dismantling or direct recycling—but we do work alongside the lessor and third-party partners to ensure the aircraft is delivered on time, in condition, and in full regulatory alignment.
