Six West, the world-leading provider of flight operations services to aircraft lessors, in collaboration with the Cork-based Atlantic Flight Training Academy (AFTA) had an enjoyable weekend recently, awarding the 2019 student competition winners their prizes.
At Six West, we believe in doing more than just delivering world-class flight operations. We are committed to making a difference in the communities and industries we serve—whether that’s through educational support, endurance sports sponsorships, or championing the next generation of aviation talent. By aligning our corporate values with meaningful action, we aim to support a future that’s safer, stronger, and more inclusive.
We proudly support the Young Aviators Awards programme—an initiative designed to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals. By helping provide funding and recognition to emerging talent, we aim to fuel ambition and innovation across the global aviation industry.
Six West is a proud sponsor of the Kerry Way Ultra, Ireland’s premier endurance ultramarathon. This partnership reflects our shared values of resilience, performance, and pushing boundaries—both in sport and in aviation.
From encouraging personal achievements to fostering a strong internal culture, we support our team in and out of the workplace. Whether it’s cheering on marathon efforts or backing charitable initiatives, we believe in showing up for the people who power our business.
We actively participate in programmes that help shape the future of our industry—from educational outreach to collaboration with like-minded aviation organisations. Through mentorship, sponsorship, and knowledge sharing, we strive to elevate standards and open doors for future professionals.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company policy refers to our responsibility toward our environment. Six West’s existence is not lonely. It’s part of a bigger system of people, other organisations and nature. The social responsibility of a business is to give back to the world just as it gives to us.
This policy applies to our company and its subsidiaries. It may also refer to suppliers and partners.
Six West strives to be a responsible business that meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
Our social responsibility falls under two categories: compliance and proactiveness. Compliance refers to our company’s commitment to legality and willingness to observe community values. Proactiveness is every initiative to promote human rights, help communities and protect our natural environment.

We follow best practices in flight planning optimisation to reduce our total fuel burns and engage openly with our crew in considering minimum fuel burn within the context of flight safety and compliance.
We also follow best practices when disposing of waste and using chemical substances. Stewardship will also play an important role.
